On June 21, the longest day of the year, United Way organizations around the nation will be taking part in United Way Day of Action, an annual, community-wide volunteer event.
Here in our local community, Heart of Florida United Way will be hosting projects that support our strategic focus on alleviating hunger and homelessness.
With so many Central Floridians still struggling to afford even the most basic needs, you can make a difference by particpating in fun, meaningful projects that will help improve lives, spread awareness and inspire hope for those who need it most.
From feeding hungry children and families to sorting food pantry items and delivering meals to seniors, dozens of projects are available throughout Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties. All will benefit nonprofit organizations serving those who are dealing with hunger.
For these reasons and more, we need YOU to help make this year’s Day of Action our biggest, most succesful event yet! Please sign up today and join with friends, family members, co-workers and others to take action and LIVE UNITED.
