Target Hits the High Mark with Great United Way Campaign

Aiming high to help build a stronger community, dozens of Target employees joined together in June to raise money for United Way’s 2010-11 campaign.

With education a major focus of the company’s community outreach efforts, volunteers visited local schools and Boys & Girls Club branches, where they donated books, read to kids and took part in fun learning activities.

Target is one of many local companies that are running early “Pacesetter” campaigns, which set an example for others to follow. Last year, Target’s campaign raised an amazing $84,000 to support local children, families and others in need. 

While results for their current campaign are still being tallied, one thing is certain – when it comes to giving back, Target really knows how to hit the mark. Many thanks to all the employees whose generosity and commitment exemplifies what it means to LIVE UNITED.
