Contests and fun events were a big part of the effort, which included a luau, dunk tank, golf tournament and more. One of the biggest hits was a “Kiss the Pig” competition, which raised $500 as employees outbid each other to determine who among them would do the honors.
Julie Hyde, a Senior Administrative Assistant, was the good sport and lucky winner. While final campaign numbers are still being tallied, employees really showed tremendous heart and spirit in raising funds to help local people in need.
Our special thanks also go to Progress Energy for running a great Pacesetter campaign, one that runs early and sets the “pace” for others to follow. They really exemplify what it means to LIVE UNITED!
