Does your company or organization have boxes of computer paper, cleaning supplies or children’s items that you don’t know what to do with? If so, Heart of Florida United Way has a unique way to put them to good use while benefitting your company and local people in need.
Our Gifts in Kind Center (GIKC) is always seeking large-scale donations of new household items, office goods and general merchandise, which we redistribute to nonprofit organizations. All donations are tax deductible and your generosity helps agencies purchase much-needed supplies for pennies on the dollar – a win-win for all involved!
How do your donations help? Nonprofit agencies using the GIKC have access to a wide variety of donated goods, such as cleaning products, furniture, personal care items and house wares. By offering products at a greatly reduced cost, the GIKC enables agencies to stretch precious resources and help even more people in need.
Local companies, retailers, hotels, convention groups and others frequently donate excess or outdated supplies and merchandise that would otherwise be thrown away. Among the most frequently requested items are office supplies, toys and other children’s items. So if you can help, please give us a call!
