Heart of Florida United Way (HFUW) has announced the election of its 2012-2013 slate of officers and four new members to the Board of Directors.
John P. Moskos, president Central Florida, Bank of America, is returning as board chair; and Kevin A. Sheehan, vice president of business development of the Fire Control and Strike Weapons Division for Lockheed Martin Inc., is the newly elected vice chair.
Rounding out the slate of returning officers is secretary E. Ann McGee, Ed.D., president of Seminole State College; treasurer James B. Cross, managing partner of Cross, Fernandez and Riley, LLP; and Robert H. (Bob) Brown, president and CEO of Heart of Florida United Way.
Newly elected to the board, serving three-year terms, are Avido Khahaifa, senior vice president and general manager of the Orlando Sentinel, who had previously served as board secretary from 2007 to 2010; Robert Newland, president and CEO of Newland Associates; Commissioner Tony Ortiz, City of Orlando District 2; and Sam Pero, regional director, Southern Jacksonville division for Publix Super Markets, Inc., who is also returning after having served from 2005 to 2011.
The remaining board roster includes Karen Dee, president of Florida and the Mid-South Regions for Fifth Third Bank; Debbie Clements, community relations manager for Progress Energy; Chief Val B. Demings, retired City of Orlando Police Department; John Fadool, executive vice president of marketing for LongHorn Steakhouse; Michael Frumkin, Ph.D., dean and professor for the UCF College of Health and Public Affairs; David Fuller, chairman, president and CEO of SunTrust Bank, Central Florida; Randy Garfield, executive vice president of Worldwide Sales and Travel Operation for Disney Destinations and president of Walt Disney Travel Company; Jane Garrard, vice president and chief financial officer of Tupperware Brands Corporation, U.S. & Canada; Joel Glass, senior vice president of communications for the Orlando Magic; Roseann Harrington, vice president of marketing, communications and community relations for OUC–The Reliable One; Tara Hormell, MA, BCBA, executive director of the Children’s Home Society of Florida, Central Florida Division; Sandy Hostetter, president of CNLBank, Central Florida; Mark Jones, president of Dr. P.
